Mrs. Waraporn Osathapan, Senior Executive Vice President of SIAM KUBOTA Corporation Co Ltd, said that Thailand’s agricultural sector was facing challenges relating to labour, production costs and resource management. At the same time, the development of high-value agriculture and the adoption of modern technologies were playing an increasingly important role in strengthening farmers’ capabilities. The 2026 McKinsey Global Farmer Insights report, a global survey and research study examining the opinions and behaviours of farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs around the world, reflects farmers’ growing focus on technologies that can reduce costs, increase yields and deliver worthwhile returns on investment. It also highlights the important role agricultural experts play in influencing farmers’ decisions. These findings underscore the importance of developing technology alongside human resources as knowledgeable personnel can transfer expertise and provide farmers with accurate advice.

This trend aligns with SIAM KUBOTA’s business direction, which has evolved over more than 48 years. The company remains committed to integrating agricultural machinery technologies and innovations with knowledge and expertise to deliver solutions that improve Thai farmers’ quality of life and production efficiency. Moreover, SIAM KUBOTA continues to help reduce costs, increase yields and create added value, while developing farmers’ capabilities and inspiring the younger generation to drive Thailand’s agricultural sector towards sustainability.

SIAM KUBOTA’s participation in the Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026 represents another important opportunity to share these approaches with a wider audience through the KUBOTA Pavilion, presented under the concept ‘Seeding Future Makers: Sewing the Seeds of the Future for Sustainable Agriculture’. The company is one of 16 private-sector organisations honoured with the opportunity to showcase horticultural innovations in the Organization Gardens. The pavilion has been designed as a learning space that brings people, nature, knowledge and innovation together. It also presents ways of applying agricultural technologies and solutions, allowing visitors to discover new opportunities and possibilities in modern farming through three highlight zones:

 Seed of Innovation: Discover the technologies and innovations shaping the future of agriculture, led by the ‘VERSATILE PLATFORM ROBOT: TYPE S’, a versatile platform robot from Japan developed with the concept of ‘Food and Agriculture’. Designed to meet the practical demands of agricultural work from planting and crop care to resource management. Its innovation has been recognised with a Best of Innovation award in the Industrial Equipment and Machinery category at the CES Innovation Awards® 2025.

 Seed of Productivity: Experience how knowledge and technology can be integrated to improve agricultural efficiency while reducing labour requirements, time and costs. Highlights include:

1. KUBOTA NAVI RIDER, model NR23 a 23-horsepower tractor designed for crop maintenance, featuring ground clearance of up to 65 centimetres to minimise contact with crops. Its adjustable wheel track width accommodates different crop spacing, and it features four steering modes

2. B-MR-3RS2 an implement for planting row maintenance that combines soil cultivation, fertiliser application and earthing-up.

3. KUBOTA Vegetable Transplanter, model KP202 with a hydraulic system to ensure consistent seedling placement. It is suitable for planting various types of vegetables, flowers, and high-value crops such as marigold and cutter flower.

 Seed of Sustainability: Discover sustainable approaches to agricultural resource use through Tra Chang Brand solar water pump by KasetInno. Powered by sunlight to help reduce energy costs while providing more options for managing water from different sources, including groundwater and surface water. It supports a wide range of applications, including agriculture, livestock farming and fisheries.

Mrs Waraporn added that, beyond showcasing agricultural innovations and technologies, the KUBOTA Pavilion also placed great importance on inspiring visitors and creating opportunities for people from all walks of life to learn about the agricultural sector in ways that reflect their own interests and aspirations. By combining agricultural knowledge with botanical displays. Allowing members of the public and those interested in farming to experience the diversity of vegetables, herbs and flowering plants, while gaining a better understanding of the connections between agriculture and everyday life. Visitors can also learn about growing high-value crops, using modern technologies and exploring opportunities to develop agricultural careers or become entrepreneurs in the new generation of agribusiness.

Meanwhile, farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to explore how agricultural machinery technologies and innovations can be applied to improve production efficiency, manage costs and resources, and enhance the quality of agricultural produce in response to market demand. These initiatives are aligned with SIAM KUBOTA’s approach to developing high-value agriculture and nurturing a new generation of agricultural talent. The company will also continue to promote collaboration among the public and private sectors, educational institutions and farmer networks.

“Being part of this Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026 is an important opportunity to strengthen collaboration with government agencies, including the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the Department of Agriculture and Udon Thani Province, as well as educational institutions and community enterprise networks, to advance smart agriculture while stimulating the economy and tourism in the northeastern region. We sincerely hope that the KUBOTA Pavilion inspire younger generations and farmers to explore opportunities to expand their careers and develop new agricultural businesses, while supporting the development of Smart Farmers. Building a secure future must begin with developing people, so that together we can sustainably enhance Thailand’s competitiveness on the global stage,” Mrs Waraporn concluded.
