Lalamove Joins Forces with Public and Private Partners to Launch “Ride Safe with Lalamove”

Lalamove Joins Forces with Public and Private Partners to Launch “Ride Safe with Lalamove”Training Program to Enhance Rider Partners Safety

Bangkok, 24 June 2025 : Lalamove, the leading on-demand delivery platform, continues its commitment - not only to offering affordable, simple, and fast delivery, but also to enhancing road safety with the launch of the “Ride Safe with Lalamove” training initiative, aimed at equipping its motorcycle and small 4-wheel driver-partners with essential safety knowledge and first aid skills. The program is a collaboration with the Traffic Police Division, Narenthorn EMS Center, Rajavithi Hospital, and Graphene Creations. The training is designed to enhance understanding of traffic regulations, promote proper road etiquette, and build emergency response capabilities to help riders drive more safely, reduce accidents, and assist themselves or others in times of need. This initiative aligns with one of Lalamove’s core values of prioritizing safety across all its services.

The road accident statistics in Thailand remain alarming. Recent data from the Accident Data Center shows that in 2025, road accidents resulted in over 6,000 fatalities and more than 300,000 injuries. These figures underscore the urgent need for improved road safety.

Mr. Ben Lin, Managing Director of Lalamove Thailand, stated, “Our rider and driver partners face many risks on the road every day. They are not just delivery drivers; they are the lifeline connecting people’s lives. For Lalamove, safety is the foundation of high-quality delivery service. Preventive training and measures are vital. Not only to protect drivers, but also to demonstrate our corporate social responsibility.”

The training session was made possible through the support of multiple stakeholders. The Traffic Police Division provided the venue and led theoretical sessions on key topics such as safe driving techniques, road etiquette, and fundamental traffic laws. Additionally, Narenthorn EMS Center, Rajavithi Hospital conducted practical workshops on first aid and emergency response for road traffic injuries. These covered both theoretical and hands-on components, including essential skills such as CPR and AED use, wound care and bleeding control, emergency response to airway obstruction, and positioning for unconscious patients.

Pol.Col. Sorapong Nakayokee from the Traffic Police Division commented, “A significant number of accidents are caused by negligence and failure to follow traffic rules. This training aims to reinforce knowledge of traffic regulations and promote safe driving behaviors, which will help reduce accidents in the long run. We hope this initiative will serve as a model for sustainable collaboration in promoting road safety.”

Graphene Creations also played a role in enhancing rider partner safety by sponsoring specially designed impact-resistant jackets incorporating graphene innovation—a next-generation material that is stronger than steel while remaining virtually weightless. These jackets are specifically designed for motorcycle riders and will be given to participants of this training program.

As part of the initiative, rider and driver partners who complete this training will receive a 'Certified Driver Partner' badge displayed in the Lalamove application, symbolizing their commitment to safety and enhanced service standards. It is also a long-term incentive for sustainable safe driving practices.
