Bangkok’s newest independent dining sanctuary officially unveils its uncompromised coastal Italian-Mediterranean menu and cocktail bar in Sukhumvit Soi 24.
Bangkok, Thailand: 7 August 2026 — La Fontana Bangkok officially unveiled its authentic coastal Italian-Mediterranean concept and chic new Cocktail Bar during its highly anticipated Grand Opening on Thursday, 6 August 2026. Hosted at Galeri 24 on Sukhumvit Soi 24, the high-energy "Mamma Mia!" themed evening transported media partners and VIPs to a sun-drenched Italian riviera experience, celebrating a new era of coastal gastronomy and elevated social hospitality in the capital.
Dressed in chic blue and white attire, guests stepped into a vibrant Mediterranean atmosphere designed to foster lively conversation and leisurely indulgence. A major highlight of the night was the official debut of La Fontana’s new Cocktail Bar, a sophisticated addition designed to shake up Bangkok’s evening scene. Attendees enjoyed a first taste of the bar’s new cocktail programme, featuring two of eight signature artisanal cocktails that bring the refreshing, bold flavors of the Italian coast to life. Crafted to complement the kitchen’s seafood-led dishes, the menu seamlessly blends classic Italian mixology and Italian spirits with a modern touch—positioning La Fontana as the city's newest go-to spot for everything from chilled sundown aperitivos to lively late-night gatherings.
During the event, guests were treated to an exclusive tasting menu showcasing the La Fontana’s dedication to traditional seaside recipes and uncompromised culinary integrity:
Welcome Drink: Curated Greek and Italian Wine sourced from old-world Mediterranean coastal vineyards.
Appetiser: Mediterranean dips with fresh, artisanal flatbreads.
Salad: Mixed Arugula and Pear Salad, finished with aged Parmigiano shavings and extra virgin olive oil.
Featured Main Courses:
o Fresh Gnocchi Bolognese: Paired with a rich, authentic bolognese recipe that is approved by the Italian government
o Signature Cavatelli alle Vongole: Uniquely-shaped pasta native to the Chef’s hometown, tossed with fresh clams in a zesty pesto sauce
o Spanish Octopus Leg: Sous-vide and char-grilled to tender perfection and served over Sicilian capers, black olives and velvety mashed potatoes.
Dessert: A trio of signature La Fontana desserts accompanied by one of the bar’s newly debuted signature cocktails.
