Amatera Renewable Energy Corporation (ARECO), a wholly owned subsidiary of B. Grimm Power Public Company Limited (BGRIM) through B. Grimm Solar Power Inc., has officially signed a Renewable Energy Payment Agreement (REPA) with the Philippines’ National Transmission Corporation (TransCo). The agreement secures a 50-megawatt (MW) power supply from the Vista Alegre Solar Power Project in Bacolod City, Negros Island.
As recently highlighted at the 2nd Philippines-Thailand Business Forum held at the Dusit Thani Manila on July 25, 2026, the Vista Alegre project has been lauded as a key investment milestone. The collaboration not only strengthens regional partnerships between Thailand and the Philippines but also serves as a critical step in advancing sustainable energy development in the country. The signing ceremony was witnessed by H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Emmanuel “Manny” Samson, Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Thailand and H.E. Mrs. Makawadee Sumitmor, Ambassador of Thailand to the Philippines.
Mr. Peradach Patanachan, President of Renewable Energy Business, B. Grimm Power—one of Thailand’s pioneering and largest private power producers—stated that this milestone reflects the company's vital role in driving clean energy initiatives in the region.
"This partnership directly supports the Philippine Department of Energy's Green Energy Auction Program (GEA-4)," Mr. Peradach noted. "The REPA establishes a transparent and reliable payment mechanism for developers. This fundamentally enhances investor confidence and will actively promote the long-term, sustainable growth of the Philippine power sector."
The ARECO initiative is a ground-mounted solar power plant with an installed capacity of 65 MW and a contracted supply capacity of 50 MW. Located in the central Philippines on Negros Island, it is among the first group of projects to successfully supply electricity under the GEA-4 framework, having commenced power sales earlier in 2026. This swift operationalization underscores B. Grimm Power's technical and commercial expertise, alongside its proven ability to foster strong collaborations with government agencies and local communities.
With the Philippines experiencing a high and growing demand for electricity, this agreement paves the way for further clean energy development and investment expansion across the ASEAN region. The move aligns seamlessly with global energy trends and B. Grimm Power's strategic goal of increasing its renewable energy proportion to over 50% by 2030, a measure that will help mitigate the long-term impacts of natural gas price volatility.
By continuing to expand its business partnerships, B. Grimm Power remains steadfast on its trajectory to achieve an overall capacity of 10,000 MW by 2030 and to reach Net-Zero Carbon Emissions by 2050.
