Lalamove Partners with Whoscall to Mark Labour Day 2026, Equipping Driver Partners with Free Whoscall Premium Basic Codes to Combat Rising Scam Calls and Digital Fraud

Bangkok, 29 April 2026 — Lalamove, the on-demand delivery and ride-hailing platform, today announced a partnership with Whoscall, a caller ID and spam-blocking application, to strengthen scam protection for its driver partners in Thailand, equipping them with real-time tools to detect and block fraudulent calls and digital threats.

In 2025, Whoscall analyzed over 6 billion calls and SMS messages globally, of which 480 million, or approximately 8%, were identified as scams. While the global number of scam calls has begun to decline, Thailand continues to record the highest volume in Asia, with up to 173 million scam calls detected in 2025. This clearly shows that Thailand remains a key target for scammers.

As part of this initiative, Lalamove is providing Whoscall Premium Basic codes to its driver partners, equipping them with practical tools to enhance real-time protection against fraudulent activities. These tools help identify incoming calls, detect suspicious numbers, and provide real-time risk alerts.

Mr. Ben Lin, Managing Director of Lalamove Thailand, said
: “For Lalamove, supporting our driver partners goes beyond additional income and flexibility. It also means ensuring they feel safe and confident throughout every delivery and passenger journey. Through our collaboration with Whoscall, we are equipping them with practical real-time protection tools, including access to Whoscall Premium Basic.”

Mr. Manwoo Joo, Chief Executive Officer, Gogolook Thailand, the provider of Whoscall, added: “While the overall global number of scam calls has decreased compared to the previous year, Thailand continues to record the highest volume among all Asian markets where Whoscall operates. Lalamove driver partners, in particular, are more exposed due to their reliance on mobile communication for daily operations, making real-time protection especially critical for them.”

Launched in celebration of Thailand’s National Labour Day 2026, the initiative reflects a broader shift within the gig economy toward prioritizing the safety of gig workers, such as driver partners, alongside supporting their livelihoods, positioning Lalamove as a long-term partner committed to its driver partners.
