VST ECS (Thailand) today announced that it has collaborated with HPE to launch “Co-Location As-a-Service”, an integrated IT infrastructure offering delivered through a single platform. The service is designed to support organizations and channel partners as they adopt end‑to‑end as‑a‑service infrastructure models, helping address rising hardware and operational costs while reducing system management complexity.
The offering incorporates server, storage, and compute technologies from HPE and is complemented by data protection and cybersecurity solutions from multiple global technology vendors distributed by VST ECS in Thailand. The platform is intended to help partners extend enterprise‑class services to enterprise customers while supporting modern organizations’ environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives.
VST ECS (Thailand) Highlights As-a-Service as a Path Forward Amid Rising Costs
Mr. Somsak Pejthaveeporndej, Chief Executive Officer of VST ECS (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said that businesses and dealer partners today face challenges stemming from rising costs related to data storage, servers, and IT infrastructure, as well as continued investments required in hardware, software, cybersecurity, and skilled IT personnel.
As a value-added distributor with a nationwide dealer-partner network, VST ECS has introduced VST ECS Co-Location As-a-Service to help partners access enterprise infrastructure capabilities without the need for significant upfront investment. The service is designed to reduce costs and simplify system management while enabling partners to focus on delivering solutions to enterprise customers.
“The VST ECS Co-Location As-a-Service model consolidates infrastructure into a centralized platform and supports a usage based operating approach, helping reduce management complexity and optimize resource utilization,” said Mr. Somsak.
“VST ECS Co-Location As-a-Service” has a core structure that comprises HPE server, storage, and computing solutions. In addition, the service is further strengthened in Data Protection and Cybersecurity by leading global brands for which VST ECS is an authorized distributor in Thailand, including:
• Veeam: Delivers fast data backup and recovery.
• Fortinet: A high-performance cybersecurity solution.
• Kaspersky: Real-time threat protection with accurate detection of malware, viruses, and ransomware.
“The primary target audience for “VST ECS Co-Location As-a-Service” is System Integrators (SIs) and partners within the VST ECS ecosystem who design and deliver solutions for enterprise customers across industries.
“Our role is to build and operate the underlying platform and infrastructure so partners can more easily access enterprise technologies and extend them to enterprise customers,” Mr. Somsak said. “This approach aligns with VST ECS’s business model as a value‑added distributor focused on enabling partner growth.”
HPE Advances Innovation with an AI-Native Approach and Sustainability
Mr. Palasilp Vichivanives, Managing Director of HPE Thailand and Vietnam, said that HPE technologies form a significant part of the core infrastructure supporting the VST ECS Co‑Location As‑a‑Service platform.
“At the core is HPE Morpheus Enterprise Software, a multi‑cloud management software designed to support governance and cost management, working alongside HPE Private Cloud Business Edition deployed on a disaggregated hyperconverged architecture,” said Mr. Palasilp. “This enables flexible scaling of compute and storage resources based on workload requirements.”
To support data protection and operational resilience, the platform incorporates HPE Alletra MP B10000 storage and HPE StoreOnce, which includes immutability features designed to help protect data against unauthorized modification.
Beyond infrastructure, HPE technologies within the platform also support sustainability and efficiency objectives. GreenLake provides visibility into
infrastructure utilization and energy‑related metrics, helping organizations monitor power consumption and operational efficiency. This is complemented by HPE Asset Recovery & Recycling Services, which support responsible IT asset lifecycle management and help reduce electronic waste.
Strengthening the Partner Ecosystem
Mr. Somsak Pejthaveeporndej, Chief Executive Officer of VST ECS (Thailand) Co., Ltd., commented that the investment underscores the company’s commitment to further strengthening VST ECS’s Partner Ecosystem. The initiative is expected to help partners accelerate the delivery of highly flexible solutions with world-class security, while meeting the sustainability requirements of enterprise customers without requiring partners to assume significant upfront investment risk.
“In the first year, VST ECS is offering a promotion for dealers by waiving service fees, while in the second-year partners will pay only 50% of the service fee for the VST ECS Co-Location As-a-Service, which includes HPE servers, storage and compute solutions. Moreover, partners can also add on additional services such as firewall, endpoint protection and other security options,” Mr. Somsakconcluded.
