Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) has introduced “ROP Smart Miles Pay”, a new redemption option for Royal Orchid Plus (ROP), allowing them to redeem miles for up to 100% of THAI tickets (excluding taxes and fees), with instant seat confirmation. The new offering provides greater convenience and flexibility in travel planning.
Effective 10 June 2026, ROP members can redeem their miles in place of cash payment when purchasing THAI tickets through THAI’s website. Members simply select ROP Smart Miles Pay as their preferred payment option and redeem from 500 miles up to the amount required to cover the airfare at the time of booking.
Mr. Kittiphong Sansomboon, Chief Commercial Officer, stated, “ROP Smart Miles Pay has been developed to provide members with flexibility in using their accumulated miles as an alternative payment option for air tickets, particularly during periods of high travel demand. Members can receive instant seat confirmation, while tickets purchased through the programme remain eligible for mileage accrual in accordance with applicable fare conditions. In addition, ROP Smart Miles Pay enhances member benefits by making miles redemption more rewarding. Compared with the previous Cash Plus Miles programme, members can enjoy greater value from their miles while choosing between full-mile redemption or a combination of miles and cash.
ROP Smart Miles Pay will replace the existing Cash Plus Miles programme effective 10 June 2026. As Royal Orchid Plus celebrates its 33rd anniversary this year, the new benefit is introduced in appreciation of our members for their continued trust and support.”
The introduction ROP Smart Miles Pay reflects THAI’s commitment to enhancing its products and services, while expanding opportunities for members to maximize the value of their accumulated miles.
