VST ECS (Thailand) Partners with AGIBOT Launch Humanoid Robotics Collaboration, Driving the Future through Embodied AI

BANGKOK, June 25, 2026 – VST ECS (Thailand), a member of the VST ECS Group and a leading IT distributor in the Asia-Pacific region, has partnered with AGIBOT, a leading Embodied AI foundation model company developing both the intelligence layer and the humanoid robots, to mark a major milestone in advancing its business strategy and expanding into the deep tech market under the concept of “Embodied AI.” The collaboration underscores VST ECS’s commitment to bridging the intelligence of artificial intelligence (AI) with practical applications for business and everyday life, in line with global technology trends. It also strengthens the company’s future-ready technology portfolio, creating new value and enhancing business competitiveness in an increasingly digital economy.

Mr. Somsak Pejthaveeporndej
, Chief Executive Officer of VST ECS (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said the company’s entry into the Embodied AI market reflects its vision of bringing innovative technologies to meet customer needs and respond to rapidly evolving global trends. Robotics is no longer confined to traditional mechanical systems, but is now advancing in tandem with artificial intelligence, enabling robots to become increasingly intelligent and human centric. As a result, humanoid robots are gaining practical applications across both business operations and daily life. This new business portfolio is also expected to reinforce the company’s long-term revenue base and contribute healthy profit margins in the years ahead.

For its marketing and distribution strategy in Thailand, the company is initially focusing on two key channels to effectively address market demand:

·      B2B (Business-to-Business): targeting IT customers with in-house software development capabilities, enabling them to integrate their own solutions with robots and deliver tailored end-to-end offerings for both private and public sector end users.

·      B2C (Business-to-Consumer / Corporate): serving corporate customers seeking short-term robot rental solutions for events, exhibitions, and marketing campaigns.                  The company also offers on-site robot showcase services, allowing customers and event participants to experience the technology firsthand and gain a deeper understanding of its capabilities.

“Over the first one to three years, VST ECS will focus primarily on its existing IT customer base in Thailand, where we already have a strong foundation. These partners have shown keen interest in bringing humanoid robots to end users, as technology can be integrated with their own software and offered as a complete solution. That said, our market expansion strategy will begin with creating the market and building real use cases, rather than accelerating immediately into large-scale sales, as Thailand remains in the early adoption stage for this technology.

The global humanoid robot market continues to demonstrate steady growth, with rising demand for AI serving as a major catalyst. Competition in the market is increasingly expected to center on AI capability, human interaction, and systems integration, supported by enabling technologies such as Generative AI, voice recognition, cloud computing, and 5G. Together, these innovations are making humanoid robots more practical and scalable across a broad range of sectors, including services, healthcare, retail, and events,” Mr. Somsak said.

Mr. Abel Deng, President, Middle East & Asia Pacific Region at AgiBot Innovation (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd. (AgiBot), said Thailand is one of ASEAN’s most active markets in digital transformation and is seeing strong demand for technologies that enhance productivity. As a global developer of humanoid robotics, AGIBOT is pleased to partner with VST ECS (Thailand), which brings deep market expertise and a strong distribution network. He said the collaboration goes beyond the import of robotic technology, aiming instead to introduce AGIBOT’s advanced AI systems and “Embodied AI” innovation to help accelerate Thailand’s business transformation—from the era of conventional industrial robots to a new generation of intelligent robots capable of working seamlessly alongside humans and unlocking infinite productivity across industries.

Mr. Somsak Pejthaveeporndej added that while concerns remain over the potential impact of robotics on the labor market, VST ECS views humanoid robots as tools designed to enhance productivity rather than replace human workers entirely. This is especially relevant for repetitive or time-intensive tasks, allowing employees to focus on higher-value work, specialized skills, and more strategic decision-making. He also noted that the growth of this industry is expected to create new employment opportunities, particularly in AI, software development, and technical support.

On the communications and brand experience front, VST ECS is committed to helping the Thai market understand that AI and humanoid robots are no longer distant concepts of the future, but practical tools already capable of improving productivity and creating business value today through real-world

applications in customer service, healthcare, retail, and events. Organizations can also leverage the flagship AGIBOT A2 Ultra humanoid robot to elevate customer experience in a variety of ways, from welcoming visitors and providing product information to recommending promotions and creating interactive brand activities at stores and events. These capabilities can help increase engagement, reinforce a progressive brand image, and deepen connections between brands and customers.

What sets AGIBOT’s brand strategy in Thailand apart from earlier generations of robotics and legacy technologies is its repositioning from being perceived simply as a showcase of advanced engineering to becoming an “AI platform for real business applications” (Embodied AI). The emphasis is firmly on business outcomes, with the ability to integrate seamlessly with software platforms, AI systems, and existing enterprise infrastructures across sectors such as customer service, retail, events, and smart organizations. This is reinforced by a use-case-driven branding approach that clearly demonstrates return on investment (ROI), alongside highly flexible deployment models, including service-based and subscription-based options. This aligns well with the current priorities of Thai organizations, which are increasingly seeking value, agility, and investment flexibility rather than outright technology ownership. This is very much in line with AGIBOT's mission of creating unlimited productivity via intelligent machines.

To drive sustainable growth, VST ECS has adopted a co-creation approach with IT customers and strategic partners, including system integrators (SI), software houses, and AI developers. This model enables partners to extend the technology into their own solutions through joint projects in which they co-develop software, AI capabilities, or workflow processes on robot platforms such as customer service systems or data integration solutions and pilot them with end users. These collaborations can then be translated into tangible use cases and case studies for commercial expansion. Beyond enabling partners to bring specialized solutions to market, this strategy is also expected to accelerate the growth of Thailand’s robotics ecosystem without relying solely on the company’s direct sales force,” Mr. Somsak said.
