About Ice Hockey
Ice hockey originated from modified stick-and-ball games in Europe, adapted to be played on ice in Canada during the 19th century. It later developed into a professional sport and was officially included in the Winter Olympics in 1924. Today, it is popular worldwide, requiring speed and strength on a 30x60 meter rink. Each team consists of 6 players
(5 skaters and 1 goaltender). International standards (IIHF) dictate a match consists of three 20-minute periods (60 minutes total) with 15-minute intermissions. The winner is determined by shooting the ‘puck’ into the opponent's goal.
This collaboration between MGC-ASIA and XPENG Thailand marks another significant step in combining the power of organizations and innovative brands to create opportunities for Thai youth to showcase their potential through sports, grow securely into the future,
and strengthen international relationships.
